Solar Water Heating

What is Solar Water Heating?
Solar Water Heating converts the sun’s energy to heat which is used to offset energy loads typically provided by natural gas and electricity. This clean, renewable source of energy will reduce gas and electric consumption, avoid combustion-related emissions, and reduce the need for new fossil fuel infrastructures.

There are several types of Solar Hot Water Systems. For more information and a breakdown of system types, Click Here!

Benefits
Solar Water Heating is the most cost-effective solar energy application. Solar Water Heating Systems produce more energy per dollar invested, more efficient per square foot than PV and cost substantially less.

Operating costs are low because solar electricity needs very little maintenance, very few spare parts, and no fuel. You will be part of the solution, and will reduce your "carbon footprint" Unlike limited resources such as nuclear energy and fossil fuels, the sun will always be around and available for use. And unlike your utility company the sun has never raised its rates!

Tax Credits amounting to 30% or up to $2,000 are available for the purchase and installation of solar water heating systems installed through 12-31-2007.
